“Chongqing possesses over 500 species of butterflies, which are rarely seen in the city. Butterflies are especially sensitive to the ecological environment. They will disappear when the specific species of plant they eat disappear,” said Liu Wenping, a researcher of Chongqing Natural History Museum. According to statistics, over 500 kinds of butterflies in Chongqing live in places with numerous plants and flowers.

This activity aims to promote public awareness of biodiversity and environmental protection, stimulating the passion of young people for nature, thus encouraging them to get more in touch with nature and to be devoted to life. Teenagers get to know their hometown better with their handwritings or paintings.
