Chongqing - On April 27, Chongqing Sinology Research and Exchange Association held the activity I have a date with Han Fu to promote the traditional culture in the botanic garden on Nanshan Mountain of Chongqing.
Hanfu is ancient Chinese clothing, which refers to the historical clothing styles of China, particularly those before the Qing dynasty. The Han Chinese historically wore a robe or a shirt. Since the Han dynasty, Chinese clothing had developed varied styles and exquisite textile techniques, particularly on the silk. Nowadays, no matter in daily life or cosplay gatherings, Hanfu is getting more and more popular among young people in China.
In the activity, a group of Hanfu lovers joined together in the Botanic garden. They took a parade around the scenic area. Their graceful movement, the beautiful ancient Chinese clothes they wore and their nice ancient hairstyle attracted a big number of visitors to appreciate the beauty of Hanfu. They explained the knowledge about Chinese ancient clothes patiently to people interested. Later, the participants also gathered to read Chinese ancient classics as a way to salute to Chinese tradition. The Hanfu lovers take the mission to bring the tradition of wearing Hanfu back to modern times.
