The total investment for 38 key infrastructure projects in Chongqing exceeded RMB 370 billion

Focusing on the governance of railways, expressways, and urban rails, relevant departments did investment promotion work for about two hours. Covering the categories of the rail transit and the governance and improvement of “Two Rivers and Four Riversides” and “lucid waters and green banks”, 12 projects rolled out with a total investment of about RMB 115.637 billion.

In terms of radial expressways and high-speed railways, Chongqing launched 24 projects, with a total investment of RMB 257.9 billion. The implementation of the radial expressways will enhance the traffic capacity, ease traffic congestion, increase and improve inter-provincial exits. The PPP project of double-tracking Chongqing-Hunan Expressway will further improve the service capacity of the expressway network in Southeast Chongqing, and increase the inter-provincial exits as well. Based on other expressway projects with an effective role in connection, surrounding areas in Chongqing will have closer cooperation for more harmonious regional development. Furthermore, the increasingly concentrated expressway network in Chongqing will provide support for the development of industries and towns along the routes.

The investment covers many different aspects for the Chongqing's key infrastructure projects

At this symposium, the Chongqing Urban Planning and Natural Resources Bureau launched two projects. The first one is the governance of the abandoned surface mines within 10 kilometers of the mainstream of Yangtze River in Chongqing and main tributaries. There will be the ecological restoration of about 2,700 hectares of the abandoned surface mines, covering nearly 600 targets within 10 kilometers of both sides of Yangtze River, Jialing River, and Wujiang River. The other refers to the transit-oriented development at Fusheng High-Speed Railway Station.
