Chongqing – Hahn, Germany Regular All-Cargo Airline Opens

The regular all-cargo airline between Chongqing and Hahn, Germany officially opened on September 16, Chongqing Airline announced.  The airline, capable of carrying over 300 tons of cargo to Europe every week, is operated by SF Airlines, who hopes to improve the overseas sales of laptop products made in Chongqing.

Three shifts per week of Boeing 747-400ERF are projected to take a maximum of 110 tons of cargos, primarily laptops plus a few communication products, to depart from Wuxi, Jiangsu Province via Chongqing to Hahn, with a total distance of 9,540km. Hence, the all-cargo airliners between Chongqing and Europe, covering major European cities, including Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Moscow, and Hahn, have increased to 16 shifts a week.

Chongqing Airport Group Co., Ltd. plans to improve cooperation with SF Airlines. This will boost freight transport modes such as air-air transshipment and air-ground transshipment, play out the freight collection and distribution capacity of Chongqing Airport and further to promote the economic and trade contact between Chongqing and countries along the Belt and Road.

Since the opening of this airline, Chongqing Airport has opened a total of 88 international (regional) airlines, establishing a passenger and cargo airline network that covers Europe, America, Australia, Asia, and Africa. The group also plans to open cargo airlines to India and Bangladesh, in the second half this year.
