At the show, there were lots of hot pot chefs to cook the broth on-site – making soup, fried chilies and peppers, seasoning the soup, and more. Visitors can find chefs or creators of almost every well-known hot pot restaurant in Chongqing, releasing their recipes to us.

Hot pot, as the precious food passing from ancestors, is a lifestyle or even a tradition of Chongqing. The Chongqing Hot Pot Association keeps trying to promote hot pot to common families. The hot pot industry is going to be more industrialized so that the standard of the taste is similar. Therefore, the success rate of opening a hot pot restaurant is improving. “In the past, hot pot restaurants only opened in the Chinese quarter while many foreigners start to fall in love with hot pot everywhere,” said He, “We are trying to share hot pot all around the world. Hot pot is a kind of food with memory, which makes you miss it so much after getting it once.”

Striving to become the symbol of Chinese food, hot pot makers also continue to try to promote it in different but new methods except to improve the taste of hot pot. For example, the association used TikTok and other social media to promote the foodie carnival this year. “We believe that hot pot will be more popular all over the world in the future,” said He Yongzhi.
