Yangtze River Three Gorges (Wushan) International Ultra Trail Ends

After a fierce competition, the 2019 Yangtze River Three Gorges (Wushan) International Ultra Trail closed on November 3. The event was sponsored by the Chinese Athletics Association, the Administration of Sport of Chongqing, and the People’s Government of Wushan County. Four events, 100 km, 50 km, 25 km, and 5 km, pooled nearly 3,000 competitors from over 20 countries and regions, including China, the UK, Mexico, Poland, Ukraine, and Ireland.

In the 25 km Event, Ukrainian athlete Baasha and Zhong Rong from Chongqing won the Men’s and Women’s victories at 3:00:19 and 3:31:23, respectively.

Chongqing runner Li Bo beating the Irish rival became the winner of Men’s 50 km at 4:56:56; Liu Ning from China; running 6:21:14 won the Women’s 50 km.

Running on the course through Wu Gorge, a core attraction of the Three Gorges, competitors can feel the history of ancient post road and enjoy breathtaking landscapes.

In the 100 km Event receiving much attention, Chen Chaojiang, who competed in Wushan for the first time, claimed the first place among the men at 11:16:45. Wen Danyu took the victory among ladies at 14:20:18.
