Chongqing Talents Conference Concluded with 608 Signed Excellent Talents

Chongqing- The 2019 Chongqing Talents Conference (CQTC) successfully concluded with 608 signed excellent talents, who have been urgently needed, and 227 projects in Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality November 10. The closing ceremony of the CQTC witnessed the certificate-presentation ceremony for the first batch of talents for the Chongqing Talents Program and awarding ceremony for the innovation and entrepreneurship competition.

The event hosts were the Communist Party of China Chongqing Municipal Committee and the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. Themed with “Talent Pool from Home and Abroad, Concerted Efforts for High-Quality Development”，the CQTC involved 36 sub-events, including meetings, forums, roadshows, competitions, and symposiums. It well demonstrated Chongqing’s endeavor to attract international talents for its high-quality development.

Attending the two-day talent conference were more than 180 global famous scientists, directors of international organizations, university presidents, industry leaders and directors of unicorn enterprises. More than 150,000 talents participated in many thematic activities.

There were also many sub-events, such as Roundtable for President of Prestigious Universities at Home and Abroad, “Academicians in Chongqing” Symposium, Symposium for the 20^th Anniversary of Doctoral Service Group in Chongqing, Academic Report on Big Data Intelligence, Quantum Information Technology Summit Forum, and International Green Aviation Science and Technology (Chongqing) Forum.

At the closing ceremony, Hu Wenrong, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and Head of the Organization Department of Chongqing, invited more excellent talents to understand Chongqing, promote and join the city’s development.
