Official Opening: Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing

The Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing held a grand opening ceremony on December 20, 2019, at Jiefangbei Global Financial Center. Fernando Lugris, Uruguay Ambassador in China, and Li Bo, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing, attended this ceremony and cut the ribbon for the opening of the Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing. Relevant leaders of relevant government departments, units, universities, and enterprises at all levels in Chongqing, and more than 100 people including consulates and consular officers of consulates in Chongqing, Chengdu, and Shaanxi attended the opening ceremony, expressing a warm welcome to the Consulate of Uruguay in Chongqing, and look forward to strengthening cooperation in the future.

On behalf of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, Mr. Li Bo expressed congratulations to the opening of the Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing. Li Bo said that the opening of the Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing marks a new chapter in the history of Chongqing's exchanges and cooperation with Uruguay. The Chongqing Municipal Government will, as always, support the mutually beneficial cooperation between Chongqing and Uruguay, fully assist the work of the Consulate General of Uruguay in Chongqing, jointly plan activities to promote friendly cooperation between the two sides and work together to promote Chongqing and Uruguay in agriculture, trade, and investment, aerospace, education, mutually beneficial and pragmatic cooperation in various fields such as sports, culture, tourism, conventions, exhibitions, in order to continuously connect local friendships.
