Free Visit to Year of the Rat Exhibition at China’s Three Gorges Museum before March 29

2020 is the Year of the Metal Rat, marking the start of a new 60-year cycle. On December 31, Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum began the exhibition of Celebrate the New Year of the Rat.

Over 90 exhibits, including clothes, jade ware, sculptures, Thangka, New Year paintings, bronze mirrors, and non-tradable coins, show ancient people’s good wishes for the Year of the Rat.

The exhibition, free of charge, will last until March 29, 2020.

The Museum announced major exhibitions going to be held in 2020 on December 30.

The first is a member of the World Cultures and Art series exhibitions organized by the Museum—Disappeared Gold Country: South America Andean Civilization, which will be open to the public in May 2020.

Others include Exhibition of Qi Baishi Paintings (during the War of Resistance), The War of Resistance in Videos, History of Century-old Shanghai Qipao and Exhibition of China Children’s Art Works.
