Chongqing - On the morning of January 26, Chongqing held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pneumonia. At the meeting, Luo Lin, the deputy secretary-general of the municipal government and a spokesman for the municipal government, introduced the next steps in the prevention and control of Chongqing's new coronavirus pneumonia.

Chongqing will deploy and deepen the implementation of the city's epidemic prevention and control work, strictly implement the level-Ⅰ response work mechanism, further improve medical prevention and control, traffic management and control, community and village prevention and control, and strengthen organizational command in human, financial, and material security. The Chongqing government will strive to improve scientific prevention and control, enhance organization and scientific management, and spare no effort to win the fierce battle of prevention and control of this epidemic.

According to Luo Lin, cadres at all levels in Chongqing, especially the main leading cadres, will stick to their positions and take the lead to go into the front line of epidemic prevention and control. All staff at the municipal level in medical and health institutions are on duty.

Luo Lin indicated that the government would continue to do a diligent job in epidemic prevention, investigation, early warning, and efficiently achieve early detection, early reporting, rapid isolation, and early treatment. Taking necessary measures such as ventilation, disinfection, and temperature monitoring for critical places such as bus stations, airports, docks, and checking vehicles such as cars, trains, and airplanes. Strengthen the supervision of the prices of medical protective supplies and primary necessities, handle illegal activities such as disrupting market order and driving up prices in accordance with the law, and ensure standard market operation order.
