This is a disease for all human, not only for one country

"The epidemic first appeared in China, but not originally from China." Zhong Nanshan, Leader of the high-level expert group of the National Health Commission, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said, "We need to work more closely with the international community. This is a human disease, not a country's disease." Currently, Guangzhou Medical University will strengthen cooperation with international research teams.

In this epidemic prevention and control, China's institutional advantages are being reflected. Zhong Nanshan believes that in response to the rapid spread of epidemics in some countries, China's mechanism and approach can be used as a reference. "All acute infectious diseases must first be controlled in its upstream. Early detection and early self-quarantine are essential in the control and prevention works. "This is the most critical measure. Secondly, they must go to designated hospitals for centralized treatment," he said.

Zhong Nanshan said that he hopes to strengthen international cooperation, exchanges and share successful experiences, such as joint prevention and control mechanisms. He is willing to communicate with the world promptly for effective prevention and control programs and treatment methods, which will help to control the spread of the virus.
