CLC Joining Forces with Chengdu Qingbaijiang International Railway

The construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle is in progress. On April 22, Shapingba District released that the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park (CLC) and Chengdu Qingbaijiang International Railway have recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides reached a consensus on jointly propelling the integrated development of the two railway ports in Chengdu and Chongqing.

Luo Shuquan, Chairman of Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park Construction Co., Ltd., introduced that on March 27, CLC and Chengdu Qingbaijiang International Railway entered into a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides agreed to jointly prompt the integrated development of the two railway ports in Chengdu and Chongqing with consistent strategies and actions.

Luo said that the two sides intend to emphasize 20 specific aspects covering four major fields, namely, connectivity of channels and ports, the complementarity of industrial investment attraction, sharing of openness and innovation, and mutual promotion of mechanism coordination. The two will concertedly enhance internal and external interconnection pivoting on the two ports, and serve the development of varied levels, orderly competition and mutual integration of regional industries. Attempts will be made to make breakthroughs in coordinately enhancing the open platforms in the two regions, and comprehensively facilitate the deep integration of inter-regional transportation and logistics economy, to expedite the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

Luo said that in line with the idea of integrated development of industry, scenic spot, and city, CLC is going to plan and construct the new logistics city through drawing on the development path of port-based such towns and countries such as Shanghai, Singapore, and South Korea.

In days to come, CLC is slated to focus on such key industries as international cargo distribution, comprehensive free trade, port specialty finance, smart information technology, innovative, intelligent manufacturing, and cultural exchanges at home and abroad. In this respect, efforts will be made to expand open channels, enhance open ports, upgrade open platforms, strengthen open subjects, and optimize the open environment to create a new model of the port economy that influences Asia and Europe and dominates in China.
