COVID-19 Update: Zero COVID-19 Hospitalization in Wuhan, China

  • There were 2,719,897 confirmed cases (93,716 new) globally, and 187,705 people (5,767 new) have lost their lives by 10:00 CEST April 25.

There were 2,719,897 confirmed cases (93,716 new) globally, and 187,705 people (5,767 new) have lost their lives by 10:00 CEST April 25, according to the daily COVID-19 situation report released by the World Health Organization.

The Chinese mainland reported eleven newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 Saturday, according to the National Health Commission (NHC) April 26. And five of them were imported cases, bringing the total number of its kind to 1,634. Also on Saturday, 30 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases were reported on the mainland, while four were confirmed of being infected with the virus and nine were discharged from medical observation, according to the NHC. A total of 1,000 asymptomatic-infected patients were still under medical observation. The overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 82,827 by the end of Saturday, including 801 patients who were still being treated, altogether 77,394 patients who had been discharged after recovery, and 4,632 people who died of the disease.

By Saturday, 1,037 confirmed cases including four deaths had been reported in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), 45 confirmed cases in the Macao SAR, and 429 in Taiwan including six deaths. A total of 753 patients in Hong Kong, 28 in Macao, and 275 in Taiwan had been discharged from hospitals after recovery.
