On April 25, Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CQFLAC) released that to strengthen the cultural exchange between Sichuan and Chongqing, it has signed a cooperation agreement on prioritizing literary and art with Sichuan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles (SCFLAC). In days to come, the two sides will further in-depth exchanges between literary and art workers of the two regions by such means as resuming the Sichuan-Chongqing Cultural Cooperation Forum.

After the signing of the Agreement, the two sides will proactively cooperate in carrying out various literary and artistic creations and activities. In terms of academic seminars, system construction, work creation, talent training, and achievement display, the two will strive for mutual complementarity, resource sharing, and win-win cooperation. “We will hammer at building the information-sharing platform, a mutual qualification recognition mechanism of federation membership, and others. Attempts will also be made to launch a dozen of activities, including the invitational competition of hip-hop performances in Chengdu and Chongqing, and Sichuan and Chongqing artist creation for poverty alleviation themed with Following the General Secretary’s Footsteps in Poverty Alleviation,” said the relevant person in charge of CQFLAC.
After the signing of the Agreement, the two sides will proactively cooperate in carrying out various literary and artistic creations and activities.
The two will also team up to create the Bashu cultural brand. “We are going to join hands with SCFLAC to conduct in-depth research, sorting, and further protection and development on such intangible cultural heritage items as Sichuan opera, Sichuan brocade, Sichuan embroidery, stone carving, bamboo weaving, and grasscloth. Concerted efforts will also be made to resume the Sichuan-Chongqing Cultural Cooperation Forum, in a bid to create the Bashu cultural brand and boost the spread of Bashu culture,” said the person in charge.
