The two sides agreed to establish and perfect the linkage mechanism between the two regions to build the Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor collaboratively. In addition to that, the Bashu tourism comprehensive service center will spring up in the cities (districts) and counties in Chengdu and Chongqing to meet the one-stop tourism public service needs of tourists.

Based on the working mechanism for prompting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle between the two regions, the culture and tourism administrations of the two areas will jointly set up the special working group on culture and tourism for promoting the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Attempts will be made to concertedly foster a working mechanism for culture and tourism, regularly convene work scheduling meetings and joint meetings of the special working group, and actively build an inter-provincial exchange and cooperation platform. More considerable efforts will be made to propel the formation of a new cooperative mechanism featuring joint development, integration and co-construction, and market sharing of the cultural tourism industry in the two regions.

The two sides agreed to support the market entities of both sides to jointly foster cross-regional superior tourism products, and actively integrate the unique cultural tourism resources of the two regions. Besides, the two will coordinately develop and launch diverse and competitive tourism routes with multiple stops in one trip between the two areas. In this way, the two are wedded to achieving complementary advantages, exchange of tourists, and market sharing.

Grounded on the cultural tourism resources of both sides, the two will integrate the cultural tourism resources of Chongqing, as well as Dazhou and Bazhong in Sichuan, and team up on building the Ba cultural tourism art corridor. Moreover, the cultural and artistic resources of the two regions will blend to create Sichuan opera and other fine plays, and present exchange exhibitions and cooperation seminars.

The two will dig deep into the shared historical memory and cultural origins of Bashu Region, and carry out an all-round survey of Bashu culture and tourism resources. They will also deepen the study of ancient Shu culture and Ba culture, and conduct archaeological investigations and excavations of Ba cultural sites and Shu cultural sites. A coordination mechanism will come forth to boost the research, sorting, protection, and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage sharing the same origins in the two regions. In this regard, Sichuan opera, Sichuan cuisine, Sichuan brocade, Sichuan embroidery, stone carving, bamboo weaving, and grasscloth are all included.

To strengthen the concerted efforts on social, cultural heritage management, the two will jointly launch the regional cultural brand cultivation project of “Bashu Cultural Bond between Chengdu and Chongqing” and the all-in-one card project of the public libraries. Furthermore, the two will join hands-on conducting national-level pilot projects on the integration of public cultural institutions and tourism service centers, and build a demonstration zone for the high-quality development of public services integration for Bashu cultural tourism.

Moreover, the Bashu tourism comprehensive service center will spring up in the cities (districts) and counties in Chengdu and Chongqing to meet the one-stop tourism public service needs of tourists. Based on the smart tourism display system of the two regions, an all-in-one code system will come to fruition to strengthen the sharing of tourism information resources and the application of advanced technologies. National- and provincial-level network media cooperation platforms will bond together to enhance the travel-related information release of the two regions.

The two sides will also set up a cross-regional complaint handling cooperation mechanism and carry out cross-regional joint law enforcement inspections.
