Living with COVID-19 “Restrictions in New Zealand are beginning to ease, but I still can’t sail my boat!”

Chongqing- While the epidemic remains under control in China, many countries worldwide are still enforcing social and economic restrictions to halt the spread. During these difficult times, iChongqing is reaching out to people across the world to share the latest developments where they live, and stories they have heard or experienced personally.

Brooke Herriman has worked in yacht and ship building all his life. He is an expert mariner, and has sailed boats across the pacific ocean for customer delivery on numerous occasions during his long career. His sailing expertise once led him to spend many years in idyllic locations such as Fiji and Thailand.

Nowadays, Brooke lives in Picton Marlborough with his wife Rose from the Philippines. They join iChongqing to discuss the latest situation on the ground, day to day life while restrictions are in place, and whether he can still enjoy his lifelong passion for sailing.
