Qijiang: A 70-year-old geological disaster examiner saves an 86-year-old

Jiangjin: Sewer cleared to protect over 20 shops from being flooded

At 6:30 on July 4, the torrential flood from Xiangrui Hope Primary School in Jiasi Town, Jiangjin District, flowed into Nongnan Street. Over 20 Party members came to the rescue and evacuated the masses.

With the concerted efforts, over 20 shops on the street were protected from being flooded.

Under the leadership of Zou Jingyou, four people risked their lives and removed five utility hole covers on Nongnan Street. Then a cordon was set up around the maintenance holes to keep people from falling into the sewer.

Shizhu: Luman social workers help the affected people

From July 6 to 7, eight Luman social workers in Zhongyi Township, Shizhu, visited the affected people, helping clean mud off the items and console those who suffered from property loss.

"It was new to them. It is important for us, social workers, to help them recover and return to normal lives as soon as possible." Tan Fei said that the social workers worked together for the past two days, cleaning the items for more than 20 households and helping them dissipate depression and anxiety.

Qianjiang: The armed police come to the rescue

Armed Police Corps of Chongqing sent dozens of officers and soldiers for the emergency, evacuating more than ten people.

At about 13:00 on July 7, heavy rain hit the Qianjiang District of Chongqing by surprise and lasted for 4 hours. The total rainfall in certain areas amounted to 108 mm. The underground pipelines on Chengzhong No. 6 Road broke, and the flood surged and damaged the sidewalks and roadways. The fifth detachment of the Armed Police Corps of Chongqing sent dozens of officers and soldiers for the emergency, evacuating more than ten people and clearing the road to ensure the passage of vehicles.
