Drone Emergency Rescue Covers All Areas in Chongqing

Chongqing - Chongqing is set to deploy ten drone bases in its central downtown areas, according to the source from Chongqing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau. Chongqing Fire Rescue Corps plans to deploy two drones to meet the rescue needs of high-rise buildings such as firefighting.

The move is intended to play a role in new technology products such as drones, which can respond quickly to deal with fire in high-rise buildings, to reduce injuries and property damage. 

Chongqing is characterized by steep hills, dense forests, and narrow roads, resulting in widespread hidden dangers for accident disasters and risks. With the goal of the fastest collection of information, the arrival of rescuing forces, and implementation of rescue, Chongqing Municipal People's Government attaches great importance to the building of aviation emergency rescue force. By taking into account of the demand for air rescue forces in many sectors including public security, transportation, environmental protection, health, land, and water conservancy, it has set up Chongqing Aviation Emergency Rescue Corps, to build the "1+4+N" aviation emergency response system across the municipality step by step.

The drone is used to check the security situation in Chongqing.

The "1+4+N" aviation emergency response system refers to one command center, four branch centers in Longxing Town, Yongchuan District, Wanzhou District, and Qianjiang District, and numerous drone bases. 

The Bureau has also explored the cooperation between government and enterprises, under which it gives airlines a certain amount of annual fees for essential services to ensure enough hours of rescue services offered by airlines.
