Stephen Ho: Looking Forward to Greater Collaboration with Chinese Tech Companies

“We’ve always been very excited to be a part of the Smart China Expo, we’ll take this opportunity to share with our friends in the industry the latest technologies we’ve developed,” said Stephen Ho, managing director of Skylab Services Pte. Ltd. “And, hopefully, we can meet more tech companies, partners, and potential clients to explore new collaboration opportunities between Singapore and Chongqing.”

SkyLab Services is a deep-tech company that provides professional IOT strategy management and consultancy services to transform data into valuable business knowledge and assets. "We develop our products, platforms, and solutions, and all our products are 5G-ready," Mr. Ho explained. "Our mission is to be a digital performance company that optimizes in the delivery of data, software, and content."

According to Mr. Ho, SkyLab already has a well-established data logistics infrastructure in Singapore that covers the whole country and is currently under a strategic partnership with a Chongqing based company called Cool.De Technology Co., Ltd., which is one of the largest data analytics companies in the city. A wholly-owned subsidiary of SkyLab was also set up in Chongqing in January this year.

"Chongqing is a very dynamic and vibrant city that is constantly evolving and experimenting, as can be seen from the annual Smart City Expo," said Mr. Ho. "Both Singapore and Chongqing have put a lot of emphasis on digitization, innovation, and entrepreneurship, so there are a lot of areas we can work on together, such as smart city applications, IIOT, Cloud, and data analytics."

Mr. Ho said that Singaporean companies usually don't have a large market like Chongqing to try out new technologies, so the collaboration with Chongqing will grant that opportunity to Singaporean tech companies.
