Chongqing and Singapore will co-host the 2020 Smart China Expo, according to a letter of intent signed by the two sides on March 5, 2020. The year marks the fifth anniversary of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity. Singapore as the guest of honor for the past two Smart China Expos, become one of the hosts of the 2020 Smart China Expo Online (SCE OL 2020).
As Singapore becomes the co-hosts of the 2020 Smart China Expo Online, what kind of new opportunities will bring to China-Singapore cooperation? In order to answer the question, we carry out a series of interviews with Singaporean Enterpreuers who will participate in this year's expo. In this episode, we have invited Dr. Tan Yen Kheng, CEO of Singapore Printed Power Pte.Ltd., and his partner in Chongqing, Mr. Pu Guilong, Chairman of Chongqing Rongdian Technology Development Co., LTD., to talk about their expectations for the 2020 Smart China Expo and explain some potential cooperation opportunities.
"Last year we also participated in the expo, and we have formally signed a memorandum with Mr. Pu. This year, we have completed our Smart Factory Cloud Platform project supported by the two governments. So it is a great honor for us to participate in this year's Expo again. Although the platform itself is based online, the Singapore side has gathered companies to present it online in Chongqing, so if you are interested, you can visit our online exhibition area." Dr. Tan Yen Kheng, said.
"Through more than one year of efforts, we have completed the production line this year. A comprehensive acceptance may be achieved this month. Then the whole project is smoothly implemented." Mr. Pu said they both feel happy to see the signed projects are gradually implemented since one year after the Smart China Expo 2019.
