Enjoy Your Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Holidays in Bishan

In the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holidays, Bishan District will link up the whole city, inviting citizens to the district with various activities to "share the same happy moment."

Golden osmanthus is fragrant, and the moon is as cool as water. "When the moon hung behind the willows, young people went out on dates under them." The traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, which lasts for thousands of years, has left a lot of traditional customs. During the double festivals this year, Bishan will restore all these traditional folk customs, allowing you to bring your family and friends to the brightly lit ancient town of the Ming and Qing Dynasties to feel the cultural connotation of the Mid-Autumn Festival. 

On the morning of September 29, the International Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Town in Xiuhu Park, built by Bishan District, was officially opened, tourists. It has become the city's first demonstration block of digital cultural tourism application scenarios with full coverage of 5G signals.

In addition to many intangible heritage masters who will officially settle in the town, the first surprise that the town brings to people is to restore the traditional customs of the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Starting from September 29, more than a thousand lanterns of all kinds will ignite every corner of the water street, and the Mid-Autumn Festival themed lantern festival in Xiuhu Park, created by the ICH inheritors of the Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival, will take advantage of the unique landscape of Dinosaur Valley in the park. It allows visitors to enjoy a lantern festival that can represent China's top art at their doorstep.

Since there are lanterns, how can the exciting activity of lantern riddles be missing? On both sides of the main passage of the scenic spot, various lantern riddles will be hung, inviting visitors to admire the beauty of lanterns and guess the riddles.

Throwing a handkerchief for selecting a bridegroom is one of the customs of the Mid-autumn Festival. As one of the most interactive ancient games in China, this characteristic activity will also appear in this small town. A specially built embroidery building has been completed. Starting from September 29, beauties in Hanfu (the historical Han clothing styles of China) will stand on the embroidery building and throw the embroidered handkerchief in their hands as a love token to their beloved. 

In such quaint scenery of the Mid-Autumn Festival, as a key urban area for smart manufacturing in Chongqing, Bishan has surely arranged related activities.

China Mobile's 5G laboratory exhibition hall will debut in the city for the first time. In this exhibition hall of more than 100 square meters, the latest technology of 5G applications will be displayed. In addition, the beckoning uncrewed vending truck will also shuttle through this ancient town. Intelligent robots will take you step by step to explore the beautiful scenery.

Youth bands

Besides the scenery, food, and play, there are surely recreations. As the location of the Western District of the University Town, more than ten colleges and universities will settle in Bishan in the future. The first University City West Music Season will bring the young blood into Bishan in advance.

Starting from September 30, top college bands and local bands from Chengdu and Chongqing will gather in Bishan, together with the national star bands "Monkey Legion" and "Left Right Band" to present an auditory feast. 

According to Wang Shuyin, secretary of the CPC Bishan District Committee of the Communist Youth League, dozens of bands will gather in Bishan this time. These young musicians will bring their latest works, and many will also show their first performances in Bishan.

This kind of musical feast will be staged every night from 7 to 10 from September 30 to October 3. At the Bishan Cultural and Art Center, the bands will take turns on the stage with musical instruments and beautiful singing voices, bringing the most impressive music show to the audience.

In addition, a creative market for college students will be set up around the main venue of the music season. There are not only gourmet night markets, trendy markets, and extreme shows, but also various entertainment interactive activities. Local specialty products from Bishan will be gathered to encourage young college students in the university town to sell their own creations and attract a variety of high-tech experience.
