Some companies engaging in machine manufacturing were worried that the application process for subsidies would be time- and effort-consuming. After thorough investigation, the Government Affairs Service and Social Affairs Center of Chongqing Hi-tech Zone found such worry was common. Therefore, it asked the staff of social insurance-related departments at the town- and sub-district levels to visit companies and give instructions on how to apply for the post-subsidy. With such help, the mentioned company secured 45,000 yuan at long last.

Additionally, the Western (Chongqing) Science City released the start-up loan packages, encouraging the public to start businesses and maintain employment. Wang Xiao, who lives in Huxi Sub-district, said his employer closed his company for the COVID-19 pandemic when he heard the Hi-tech Cloud Classes recommended by the local social insurance department. "I learned photography and looked forward to opening a workshop. However, the lack of experience and capital stopped me. Teachers in the live-streaming classes detailed occupational planning, start-up projects and difficulties, application processes for guaranteed loan and start-up subsidy, etc." Wang was happy to see that the Chongqing Hi-tech Zone improved the loan's maximum limit for individual entrepreneurs to 300,000 yuan. He has submitted the application for the start-up guaranteed loan.

The Hi-tech Cloud Classes has been carried out for 13 sessions already, serving more than 30,000 people. The Western (Chongqing) Science City has reviewed and processed 38 million yuan worth of applications for the start-up guaranteed loan, which supported many entrepreneurs.
