The European Business in China Position Paper Issued to Further Companies Cooperation

Chongqing - On Oct. 23, the launch ceremony of the European Business in China-Position Paper 2020/2021 was held in Chongqing. The Position Paper 2020/2021 represents the views and suggestions from the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, regarding the cooperation between European and Chinese companies.

What's the Position Paper about this year?

Including over 800 detailed recommendations covering 34 industry sectors and horizontal issues, the Position Paper 2020/2021 details how persistent issues prevent European businesses from contributing fully to China's sustainable development, and how the significant amount of untapped market potential could help to not only boost economic growth but also stave off problems that have for some time threatened China's development like aging population. It also provides recommendations for both China and the EU regarding multiple aspects like investment policies, improvement of the business environment, and so forth at a special time.

According to the Position Paper, European companies are ready to deepen their positions in China if given the right opportunities. It believes that European and Chinese technological edges are complementary and they could together endure in a world undergoing deglobalization.
