7th International High Heels Races to be Held in Fuling Chongqing

Chongqing- The 7th International High Heels Color Run will take place in southeast Chongqing’s Fuling District from Nov. 13 to 15, according to the organizing committee. Currently, the match is open for registration, and anyone who is interested can sign up for the event.

As a highly expected annual public sports event, the International High Heels Color Run has been successfully held in Fuling’s Meixin Red Wine Town for six editions, attracting domestic and international professionals and color run enthusiasts to join every year.

Unlike its previous editions, this year’s event will embrace a lot of upgrades and add more new competition items such as a Non-Player Character (NPC) role-playing game, a brand-new Peacock Run, a Gege Girls Band Run, a High Heel Bestie Relay Run, and a Public Healthy Color Run. The traditional Women’s Mountain-Climbing Run and the 100-Meter High Heels Speed Running will continue to be held at the famous S-shaped Color Highway.

The Peacock Run is also a 100-meter-long running race, which requires participants to tie a parachute-like resistance umbrella behind its back. When runners start running on the track, these resistance umbrellas will unfold in a splash of colors like a peacock fanning out its tails. The Gege Girls Band Run needs runners to wear flowerpot-like shoes while the Public Healthy Run, which aims to involve people of all ages, doesn’t have any participants' restrictions.

“We will also add a lot of fashion elements to this year’s color run event,” said a member of the organizing committee, “such as the ‘Beauty Legs Queen,” which, supposedly, will select out the person with the most beautiful legs.

Foreigners who participated in the event dances with each other last year.

In addition to the main color-run activities, a carnival party and an open-air music festival will also be held alongside the streets and valleys of Meixin Red Wine Town, enabling visitors to enjoy the tasty local delicacies and beverages while watching the show. What’s more, for those who like electronic music, there’s also going to be a Nighttime Electronic Music Festival when the color run is over.

“Life can be like running with high-heeled shoes, sometimes confident, happy, and easy, while other times dispirited, painful, and difficult,” said the event’s organizer. “We just want you to know that running with high heels can also be a fun game, and the things that look difficult might also be worthwhile to try.”
