"Yubei Library gave us a quick response by setting up this reading site after we requested it," said a staff member of "Gong You Cun." The migrant workers have been longing for a small library here.

Later, the staff member of CCEED expressed those workers' wish to Yubei Library. Less than a month later, the two sides worked together to purchase bookshelves and books and build a great reading environment. A reading site, hence, came into being. At the later activity, both sides attributed the reading site's quick establishment to the high importance attached by them. Yubei Library staff hoped that the reading site could be the third home of migrant workers to facilitate them to learn know-what, improve skills, expand exchanges, and broaden their horizons. Yubei Library added more than 500 selected books to arouse the reading interest of project staff members and migrant workers of CCEED.

Yubei Library will take the actual conditions into account of Yubei District to build more reading sites in the clusters of migrant workers in an orderly manner. It will also provide better reading services to make universal and equal access to citizens' public cultural services.
