Fengjie Naval Oranges Hit Market as 2020 Orange Expo Officially Launches

Chongqing- Fengjie County in northeastern Chongqing successfully held the 2020 Fengjie Citrus Full Industrial Chain Coordinated Development Conference on December 15th, an event which also featured the 2nd Fengjie International Navel Orange Expo and Garden Festival.

The opening ceremony focused on a coordinated development system for the navel orange industrial chain through richly diverse forms such as exhibitions, keynote speeches, and discussions with experts in related fields.

Yang Shuhai, secretary of the Communist Party of China Fengjie County Committee, officially announced the conference and exhibition to be open, as the guest audience witnessed rapturous applause.

Keynote speeches themed with Smooth Industrial Chains and Strong Economic Cycles were delivered after the opening ceremony. Professor Geng Xianhui from the School of Economics and Management at Nanjing Agricultural University spoke on Collaborative Solutions for Citrus Industry Challenges under a New Model.

Gao Xiangzhao, the chief expert of the National Agricultural and Technological Promotion Center, delivered a talk on Precise Directions for Soil Improvement under the Background of Quality Development.

Doctoral Supervisor of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for Industrial Internet of Things and Networked Control Qu Hongchun delivered a keynote speech on Bridging Agronomy and Information to Resolve Bottlenecks in Digital Agriculture.

Liu Li, deputy general manager of Guizhou Xiyang Industry Co Ltd, delivered a keynote speech on Higher Citrus Quality Attained by Control Acidification and Soil Improvement through Fertilizers.'

Subsequently, two open dialogue sessions were themed on grasping new consumer demand and enhancing industrial value chains, and smooth industrial chains to promote new development. During the sessions, 12 industry authorities spoke openly and offered their wisdom for coordinated development in the navel orange industrial chain as a whole.

In addition to the conference, Fengjie Riverside Park hosts an exhibition between December 14-17 as part of the Second Fengjie International Orange Expo and 2020 Navel Orange Garden Festival. There are 3 large exhibition areas with 36 booths to fully display products of the industry.

Following the event launch, crowds of citizens and tourists enthusiastically surged to the exhibition where they took pictures, tasted the products on display, and made purchases amid the atmosphere of excitement.
