Chongqing - The final of the “Dancing Mountain City Championship” International Street Dance Competition kicked off at Shizi Mountain Sports Park, Jiangbei District. Over 140 competitors from 28 provinces and municipalities of China gathered there to stage a fantastic show. Finally, Shanghai Street Dance League garnered the championship in the League 5V5 Troupe Competition, and Chongqing Street Dance Elite Troupe gained the champion in the Team Dancing Competition.

According to the introduction, the League 5V5 Troupe Competition is an important part of the whole competition. All participants in the League 5V5 Troupe Competition were the best dancers representing their provinces and municipalities. When “Shendoushi” from Shanghai Street Dance League and “Mala Legend” from Chongqing Street Dance League entered the final round of competition, the remarkable dancing skills of dancers impressed all audiences and pushed the event to the height. One member from Chongqing Street Dance League said “ In order to participate in the competition and show our best skills, we have received one-week intensive training.” He also said there was a variety of dancing styles in the competition, and gaps between different dancing styles were bridged through exchange and learning.
Shanghai Street Dance League garnered the championship in the League 5V5 Troupe Competition
When Wang Han, the deputy director of Street Dance Committee of China Dancers’ Association, commented on the competition event this year, he said the level of competition this year was high, and there were lots of innovations in dances. The competition could be regarded as a “drill ground” that gathered talents in the street dance. Meanwhile, he gave the thumbs up to dancers from Chongqing, and he thought dancers from Chongqing were very competitive like this city.

Bouboo, a French judge of the competition, thought that the “Dancing Mountain City Championship” International Street Dance Competition was a good event with different dancers from different cities showing different dancing styles. In his opinion, all participating teams were strong and good, and the Chongqing team was very good and would become better and better in the future. When talking about this city, he thought that Chongqing was a beautiful city although the food here was spicy.
