Chongqing’s Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Industry Leads in China

Chongqing-made collaborative robots have reached the international advanced level, where its robotics and intelligent manufacturing industry is at the forefront of China.

Chongqing-made collaborative robots have reached the advanced international level.

The city has participated in the formulation and revision of 56 standards, including 26 for groups.

As the enhancement of technical strength has helped the industry achieve a qualitative leap, the Strategic Alliance of Robot and Intelligent Manufacturing Technology Innovation in Chongqing will strengthen technical support for industrial development enterprises.

The Alliance has gathered more than 300 domestic and foreign enterprises, universities, and research institutions, covering superior resources such as scientific research, talent, products, and industrialization. Chongqing's robotics and intelligent manufacturing industries are becoming influential nationwide.

Relying on the government-alliance collaboration model, members of the Alliance have achieved high-quality declaration and approval of projects. With the projects' support, those members pooled their resources to tackle key problems and have made breakthroughs in many cores and key technologies related to robots and intelligent equipment.

"For the bottleneck in tactile sensor technology research, our members developed new principles, new structures, and products, thus endowing Chongqing with a strong technical advantage in this field," said He Guotian, Secretary-General of the Alliance.

Additionally, in such fields as robot emotion recognition, robot intelligent development, and robot reducer testing, Chongqing also has some reserve technologies, promising a strong competitive advantage in the future.

The Alliance has now completed more than ten industry consulting services, including the planning and research on Chongqing's robots and intelligent manufacturing technology innovation during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and the research on robots' collaborative promotion mechanism and intelligent manufacturing in 2019. Last year, it offered services to more than 150 enterprises.

He introduced that the Alliance has set up branches for smart logistics and green manufacturing and will establish a new branch for educational robots to support industrial development better.
