Liangping District’s First Water Museum to Be Unveiled in January 2021

Liangping District's first water museum, Duliang Water Museum, will be unveiled in January 2021.

So far, the construction of its infrastructure in the Guangji Gallery of Shuanggui Lake National Wetland Park, including green trees, leisure footpaths, part of the landscape, and exhibition rooms, has been basically completed.

Duliang Water Museum

As one of Liangping District's major culture projects to benefit people, Duliang Water Museum has a total investment of about 22 million yuan, a floor area of about 26,666.7 square meters, and a building area of about 1,000 square meters. Built on remodeled water towers and existing lakeside management rooms, it consists of outdoor and indoor exhibition spaces with construction items including an exhibition hall, outdoor exhibition area, and outdoor landscaping. Notably, the total display area reaches about 900 square meters.

Except for some tail-in work, the infrastructure construction is generally completed, and the display work is expected to get started by January 2021. By then, the museum will present the past and the present of Liangping District's water conservancy construction to visitors through historical literature, historical materials, sand tables, electronic charts, vivid scenes, and other methods. On December 24, workers installed guardrails at Duliang Water Museum.
