As the country’s first 4A-level scenic spot located in a bonded port, the Center involves over 30 national pavilions and more than 50,000 imported commodity categories. Not only does it serve as an essential platform for local citizens to purchase cross-border commodities, but it is also increasingly becoming a new "beautiful" business card for Chongqing culture and tourism.
"We are actively carrying out landscape upgrades and smart transformations to better shape the overall image of the Center, including optimizing its leisure shopping experience and pushing for an international consumer center city," said the relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Bonded Port Area.
As an essential part of the Cuntan International New City, the Bonded Port Area is taking the opportunity to accelerate the construction of the "Silk Road Flower Street" with the Belt and Road cultural style. It aims to create the Belt and Road Commodity Exhibition and Trading Center, the Belt and Road International Exchange Center, the Belt and Road Business Center, National Products Promotion Center, and Chongqing Free Trade Zone Exhibition Center.
By building up an international consumption cluster area and promoting an international consumption center city, an international fashion consumer experience zone is accelerating its formation at the Cuntan International New City.

Enhancing consumers' shopping experience, the Jinshan area has generated a "park-like" pedestrian street, connecting commercial entities such as Outlets, IKEA, and Maxim's Wine Plaza with exquisite landscapes. In the vicinity of major commercial buildings, smart frequency conversion facilities such as charging benches and smart water drinking devices are also planned, which will bring a more comfortable shopping and leisure experience to the citizens.
"According to the plan, luminous walks, landscape sculptures, moon swings, and other activities, including art exhibitions and master exhibitions, will also display to the public," said the person in charge of the project. "Near IKEA, we also aim to build a viewing platform for citizens to watch the ‘light show’ of the track through the forest.“

Based on a global perspective, international standards, and Chongqing's exclusive characteristics, Cuntan International New City strives to build the core bearing area of an international consumption center city, a new highland for urban display, as well as a new window for opening up to the world, allowing Liangjiang New Area to build a high-quality life demonstration zone.
