Chongqing- The high-profile concept planning for the financial street area of the Western (Chongqing) Science City and the global solicitation for the first phase of conceptual architectural design were announced on March 23. The formal design of Financial Street will be completed at the end of July, and the first phase of construction will start in December this year.

The Financial Street project, which is open to the global public solicitation of proposals, is located in the Science City center area's core hinterland. With Fengming Lake Park as the center, the project aims to rely on finance to guide the agglomeration of high-end service industries, promote the integrated development of research, business, and literature, and build a highly complex and innovative block that integrates business, commerce, leisure, and residential functions.

The Science City of Chongqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone (CQHT) achieved a year-on-year increase of 135% in total industrial output value from January to February this year. Among them, the smart terminal industry's output value's growth rate reached 169.8%, which drove a 118.8% increase in the output value of the regulated industry.
Furthermore, the auto and motorcycle industry's output value has also doubled, with a growth rate of 128.8%; the integrated circuit industry's output value has increased by 20.9% year-on-year. CQHT will comprehensively accelerate the Science City construction, which is "a home to scientists, a city for entrepreneurs."
Serving as the core function carrier and start-up demonstration model of the Science City, the Financial Street project is involved with a total planned area of about 1.8 square kilometers, of which the first phase of the start-up area is about 0.6 square kilometers.

Pooling global wisdom, since January 5 this year, the Science City has released the solicitation announcement for the construction of the Financial Street to the world, attracting more than 30 top design institutions from home and abroad to sign up for participation.
Among them, the proposal from Tongji Architectural Design (Group) Co., Ltd. and AS+P Albert Speer + Partner GmbH won the first place, who will gather the talents of multiple plans to carry out the final integrated design work of the Financial Street.
