Hu Hai, deputy editor-in-chief of Symbiosis International Media in Canada, used a camera to record a family planting navel oranges in Santuo Village, Anping Town, Fengjie County. What moved him most was the sincere smile from the deep heart of the family of four, who advance cooperation in agriculture and poverty alleviation.

“I appreciate the hardships of those officials fighting against poverty over the years. It is really not easy,” said Hu. "Seeing that the migrants who were relocated to build the Three Gorges Dam have led a better life than before. This not only defies my concern but also allows me to tell good Chinese stories to overseas compatriots and international friends confidently and firmly."

Currently, Chongqing is actively implementing an innovation-driven development strategy action plan led by big data and smart technology. "Ship pollution is a problem that has always been difficult to solve," said Cai Jianning, deputy director of the Liangjiang New Area service of the Chongqing Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau. Guoyuan Port has introduced and equipped smart trash bins and smart technology to realize the direct connection of smart pollutants, and all ship garbage and domestic sewage are directly brought ashore for pretreatment.

"Liangjiang New Area contributes 15% of Chongqing's gross regional product, but the total discharge of major pollutants is less than 2% of the city's total," said Cai. By making full use of high-tech methods such as satellite remote sensing, aerial drone surveys, unmanned ships, and intelligent robots in-depth investigation, Liangjiang New Area will comprehensively enhance the intelligent management and control of the river's ecological environment.
