According to the Chongqing Noodles Industrial Chain High-quality Development Seminar held on April 22, the industry's annual output value has reached 40 billion yuan (about 6.2 billion U. S. dollars). Chongqing plans to encourage all practitioners to join hands, raising that amount to 100 billion yuan in three to five years.

Chongqing Noodles has been a sought-after local delicacy over the last decade because it is spicy and palatable. At the 27th China Chefs Festival held in 2017, the China Cuisine Association awarded Chongqing the gilded signboard "China's Capital of Noodles".

The Chongqing Noodle Restaurants Association estimated that, on average, 12.6 million bowls of Chongqing Noodles are sold by 84,000 noodles restaurants each day.

However, few standardized and industrialized products, poor online selling, and other factors have restricted the industry's development.

In response to that, the Chongqing Noodle Restaurants Association calls on relevant parties to improve the reputation and influence of this delicious food and further expand the industry.
