Chongqing is slated to host another state-level grand event soon! From May 20 to 23, the 3rd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) will be held in Chongqing International Expo Center and Chongqing Yuelai International Convention Center.

WCIFIT has already become a crucial window for China to demonstrate itself to the outside world, an essential platform leading the development and opening-up of inland cities, and a vital carrier to stimulate a new round of high-level opening-up of western China.
The countdown has begun for the opening ceremony, and all preparatory work is proceeding in an orderly manner.
This session's WCIFIT has four major theme activities and seven sub-forums and investment & trade activities. Attendees include political dignitaries, business leaders, experts, and academicians from home and abroad, who will come to contribute to mutual development.
Through this platform, provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in west China will work together to find new markets, business opportunities, and partners.
The first edition of WCIFIT witnessed the collective signing of 109 key projects, with the total investment amounting to 338.408 billion yuan (about 52.6 billion U.S. dollars). In addition, provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions in west China signed 60 projects valued at 20.62 billion yuan.
The second edition celebrated 271 domestic and foreign projects, with the investment totaling 549.78 billion yuan, covering such fields as smart manufacturing, biological pharmacy, new materials, new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, modern logistics, and environmental protection.
