Chongqing - As a major project of the upcoming 3rd Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), the Asia-Enterprise of Tomorrow (AEOT) Chongqing Summit will kick off at the Chongqing International Expo Center on May 21st. Some 200 distinguished guests, government officials, industry leaders, and representatives of Fortune Global 500 companies from 15 countries will attend the event.

Before starting the AEOT Chongqing Summit, iChongqing scheduled a series of interviews with some of the keynote speakers to discuss their participation in the summit and the business environment here in Chongqing and other Asian cities.
Dr. Howard. H. W. Chan, deputy medical director of Raffles Hospital Chongqing and one of the invited keynote speakers of AEOT, recently received an exclusive interview with iChongqing during a hospital seminar on foreigners' vaccination.
In this interview, Dr. Chan talked about his general impression of Chongqing, the city's first international general hospital, and its official designation as the go-to hospital for foreigners to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

"Raffles Hospital Chongqing is the city's first international general hospital set up by the Singapore-based Raffles Medical Group at the invitation of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government," said Dr. Chan. "Because of our international background and the capacity to manage the foreign population here in Chongqing, the municipal government granted us the official designation as the go-to hospital to roll out the vaccination program for foreigners."
China's ambitious plan to get as many people as possible inoculated with its self-developed COVID-19 vaccines to achieve herd immunity requires all levels of governments to roll out the vaccination program for local citizens free of charge, whereas foreigners living in China have to pay a set amount of CNY100 per person, according to Chan.
"At this point, we have delivered already delivered more than 5,000 doses of vaccines to locals and about 200 doses to foreigners," Chan added.

In collaboration with the foreign chambers of commerce in Chongqing, Raffles Hospital Chongqing holds seminars regularly to inform and educate foreigners about issues ranging from epidemic control and prevention, health screening to COVID-19 vaccines.
