China Industrial Software Conference to Open in Chongqing

Chongqing- China Industrial Software Conference 2021 will kick off in Chongqing  Municipality on June 7, and the event will bring hundreds of guests from the political, academic, and business sectors together, according to a briefing held on Thursday.

Centered around the theme Strengthen Industrial Software, Deepen Digital Transformation, the guests will discuss the new trend, cooperation, and development of industrial software, with a major focus on high-quality industrial software integration innovation.

Fu Xiao, director of the Software Division of Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission, said that Chongqing has the capability to hold the Conference because of its development momentum in the digital economy.

Until 2020, Chongqing has gathered more than 7000 intelligent big data enterprises. The added value of the digital economy in 2020 accounted for about 25% of GDP.

Specifically, these established industrial software industry parks are located in the core area of the Yuzhong District. With abundant resources in transportation, education, medical treatment, human resource, and a wide range of industrial radiation, those parks can benefit from their effective utilization of the solid manufacturing base in Chongqing.   

Over the past three years, the fruitful results of the Smart China Expo have been implemented continuously, which pushes the intellectualized development of big data and the international exchange and cooperation of the digital economy in Chongqing.

“At this time, China Industrial Software Conference 2021 will undoubtedly further redouble the achievements of the Expo and produce a strong 'spillover effect,'" said  Fu. "This further provides more growth opportunities for Chongqing."

According to Fu, policies to promote the high-quality development of integrated circuit industry and software industry will be interpreted, and the 14th Five-Year Plan for the high-quality development of Chongqing software industry will also be released, with the hope to attract more industrial software enterprises to gather in Chongqing and promote key enterprises to carry out key core technology research.  

Fu added that in the next three to five years, Chongqing will endeavor to forge a nationally known industrial software industrial park and introduce and cultivate ten leading domestic companies. The city aims to develop a batch of industrial products with core competitiveness around key industries and fields.

Through introducing and training a group of high-end industrial software talents, Chongqing will strive to build itself into a national industrial software industry highland and application demonstration site with enhanced industrial ecology, leading core technologies, rich application scenarios, and strong industrial competitiveness.
