The Chongqing Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission joined hands with the Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles last Thursday to hold a special press conference, revealing the plan to introduce more than 20 thematic events to mark CPC's 100th anniversary.

Included in the plan are literary and art stage performances, television dramas, internet audiovisual variety shows, art galleries, historical documents exhibitions, chanting and recital competitions, narrator and commentator matches, as well as the release of "red tourism" travel routes and the publication of revolutionary historical relics guidebooks.

Some outstanding plays and dramas on CPC history will soon be staged at the city's various theaters and opera houses, such as the revolutionary martyr Zhang Luping-based dance drama "Absolute Test," the Communism-themed acrobatics show "A Pair of Embroidered Shoes," the national model for poverty alleviation Mao Xianglin-based drama "Digging Roads outta Sky Pit," environment protection-themed song and dance show "A Clear River Flows Eastward," and the "Ode to the Sun" concert, which recreates the classic music fragments of the CPC's century-old glories.

What's more, such TV series as "On Mount Taihang," "Beauties of the Rivers and Mountains," "Founding Father Zhu De," "National Hero," "Southwest Emancipation," "Three Brothers of Mao Zedong," and "I Love Made in China" will also be aired in the months leading up to July 1, the birthday of CPC.
