NEU Singapore: A Green and Sustainable Future is Our Common Goal | Smart Insight

NEU Battery Materials is a Singaporean enterprise that excels in lithium battery recycling. Graduating from  NUS, the founders Bryan and Kenneth started their business to supply clean and sustainable raw materials for electric vehicles. With the adoption of electric vehicles globally, the number of EVs is expanding quickly. The need for lithium batteries is also soaring. NEU implements its state-of-the-art battery recycling process to reduce the stress on the supply of raw materials, gives it a second chance, and tries to make it mainstream on battery recycling.

There are over 200 million motor vehicles in China, and it’s experiencing the transformation from internal combustion engine cars to electric vehicles. The original basis is huge, and the demands are great. Each of the EV enterprises will be facing the core issue of battery supply. In this way, recycling became the key to their sustainable goal, as China and Singapore have the consensus of having a green and sustainable future. Due to the pandemic, NEU had a series of webinars with Chinese enterprises, such as FAW; they are looking forward to visiting Chongqing’s EV manufacturers and conducting mutually beneficial cooperation in various forms.

When talking about the Smart China Expo and the China-Singapore Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity, the founders believed that it gives them a chance to share the technology, experience, and knowledge across Singapore and China. By working together, it will benefit the innovative enterprises and beyond which the region and the world.
