Chongqing University Alumni Make 2021 Forbes China 30 Under 30 List

On September 16, 2021, Forbes China released the 2021 Under 30 List featuring 300 impressive young talents in 10 separate industries from enterprise technology to science and healthcare, and five Chongqing University alumni have made it to the prestigious list.

Chen Miannuo - Industry, Manufacturing, Energy and Environmental Protection

Chen, a graduate of the College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering at Chongqing University, is now the Chief Operating Officer of Xi'an Underwater Dynamics Technology Co., Ltd., and co-founder of Xi'an Boni Robot Technology Co., Ltd.

Feng Lei-Science and Healthcare

Feng is a member of Chongqing University Hongshen Faculty, a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the College of Computer Science of Chongqing University, and a visiting scientist at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project in Japan. He is also a member of the China Computer Federation, the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence, the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence, and the Association for Computing Machinery, and a correspondent of CAAI Professional Committee of Machine Learning.

His research interest lies in machine learning, data mining, and artificial intelligence. He has published nearly 20 papers on Class A conferences recommended by the China Computer Federation and top journals of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Meng Pengfei-Science and Healthcare

Meng, a graduate, majoring in Electrical Engineering and Automation, is now an associate research fellow of the College of Electrical Engineering at Sichuan University. His research interests include electrical insulation materials, overvoltage, and lightning protection.

He currently serves as secretary and a member of the International Council on Large Electric Systems C4 China Committee and a committee member of the China Electrotechnical Society Young Scholar Committee. He has published more than 40 papers in relevant fields and obtained 11 internationally authorized and 8 China-authorized patents. Meng also won the IEEE Caixin Sun and Stan Grzybowski Best Student Paper Award, ICLP Young Scientist Award, and APL Young Scientist Award.

Huang Shengyu- Enterprise Technology

Huang, a 2015 graduate of the school of Arts, is now a Ph.D. student at the Academy of Arts and Design in Tsinghua University, focusing on the in-depth integration of AI and design creativity.

Huang has snatched many world-class design awards. In 2016, his work "CQEA Design for Sustainable Super High-rise Hotel" was selected by the "Fighting for Art" Tongji University-China Academy of Art Joint Exhibition of Fine Works. The documentary of his work about social innovation titled Open Your Space was displayed during Milan Design Week 2016. Huang also claimed the highest award at the Eleven's 5th international Architectural Design competition /Eternal City - Roman City Revival when pursuing a double degree in Italy, This work was selected by the global architecture magazine Eleven Magazine, and Huang was also featured in the Eleven Magazine's Design Hall of Fame.

Liu Zhipeng-Enterprise Technology

Liu, who earned his postgraduate degree in Computer Science and Technology in 2018, is a product manager at Tencent. At Chongqing University, Liu founded Qinfenfeng Technology and led his team to win the Bronze award at the Second "Create the Youth" — China Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in the Commercial Engineering Group. Liu also won the 2016 "The Stars of Self-improvement of Chinese College Students" award awarded by the Communist Youth League of China and the All-China Students' Federation.

The Forbes annual “30 Under 30” list highlights the next generation of bright young entrepreneurs, leaders, and change-makers who are changing the course and face of business and society. This year Forbes invited nearly 50 prestigious industry experts including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, artists, university professors, and key opinion opinions to select the final listees after Forbes China has conducted the first round of nominee selection. The criteria for honorees making the list include their social impact, leadership skill, and innovation.
