Chongqing- On the evening of October 14, the Concert of World Great Rivers was staged in Wanzhou, Chongqing. With the theme "praising great rivers" and "calling for peace," the concert gathered singers from China, Uzbekistan, Russia, Indonesia, India, Italy, Ukraine, and other countries presented a beautiful picture of the river and the harmony between humans and nature.
The Concert of World Great Rivers has been successfully held in Wanzhou District for four sessions since 2018. The performance is based on the representative classic repertoire of the world's great rivers. The rich characteristics of the Three Gorges will be carried throughout the whole concert, highlighting the splendid beauty of the natural and humanistic scenery of the Yangtze River Three Gorges and sharing the unique charm of Chongqing, a land of natural beauty, a city with cultural appeal.

In the session Combination of Songs entitled The Concerto for Life, Uzbek folk song The River Lover, Russian folk song Nights in the Suburb of Moscow, Indonesian song Stars and Indian song Dance of Ganges River built up the bridge with the music of the communication and integration between China and the world. Also, the concert was not short of Chongqing elements, as the performers of Chongqing, Three Gorges Sichuan Opera Troupe, and Chongqing Three Gorges Quartet brought the Chinese Opera singing The Plum Blossom and Peony on One Stalk, which won warm applause from the audience.

At the end of the concert, famous Chinese singer Zhang Ye brought the song China in the Lights, and along with the chorus Song of Yangtze River, the 2021 Concert of World Great Rivers came to an end.
