In the face of the global shift to the new normal amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Macao always embraces an open and friendly attitude in forging cooperation with various Mainland provinces, cities, and autonomous regions. The "Macao Week in Chongqing" roadshow has set up a number of exhibition booths to showcase Macao's rich tourism, trade, culture, sports, and entertainment characteristics. Macao will also stage regular performances during the roadshow, including singing by singers from Macao, lion and dragon dances, and modern pop dance performances. On the evening of December 3, iChongqing journalists Sasha and Bridget went to Jiefangbei Square - one of the busiest pedestrian streets in Chongqing at night - to take you into this carnival through a live stream on iChongqing's Facebook page and Youtube channel.

For this event, the Macao tourism industry specially prepared a total value of more than 100 million yuan of tourism products, covering flight tickets, hotel accommodation, food, and beverage, etc., sold through both online and offline platforms, to expand the tourism market between Chongqing and Macao and further promote the joint development of the two places.

Several tourism information counters have been set up to provide information on Macao tourism. Visitors in Chongqing are only required to provide a 7-day nucleic acid negative report to enter Macao and are exempt from quarantine.

Chongqing and Macao opened the door of exchange many years ago. Over the years, there have been frequent interchanges between Chongqing and Macao, which continue to widen and deepen their scope of exchange and cooperation in the areas of trade and commerce, cultural tourism, MICE, academics, society, health care, and so forth.
