The "This is Chongqing" - geography and culture theme exhibition aims to tell the story of Chongqing, continuously enhance the cultural soft power of the city, vividly and comprehensively present the unique charm of Chongqing as "a land of beauty, a city of cultural appeal," and enhance the public's geography and In-depth understanding of Chongqing's geography and culture. The exhibition selects some contents of the new book, which shows the mountains and rivers in Chongqing, the twelve scenes of Bayu, special local food, and other popular contents through rich, vivid, and intuitive graphic forms, fully reflecting the importance of telling the story of Chongqing with maps and showing the profound cultural heritage of the city.

In recent years, Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources has made important achievements based on its functional responsibilities, digging deeper into the value of natural resources and historical and cultural resources, and innovating to tell the story of Chongqing. "This is Chongqing: A Weekly Map Atlas" is a collection of the essence of the eight-year-long "Weekly Map" handy map service project implemented by the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Planning and Natural Resources which is the first of its kind in China.
The atlas, which took three years to complete, features 80 topics, 100 maps, 300 hand-drawn illustrations, and more than 50,000 explanatory texts, deconstructing a complete Chongqing in three chapters: landscape, culture, and life. The chapter on landscape starts from the topics of mountains, rivers, and landforms and explains in detail the natural beauty of the landscape; the chapter on culture tells the regional cultural phenomena derived from the people of Chongqing in the process of living in harmony with nature; the chapter on life focus on the twenty-four solar terms and the life of citizens, integrating landscape, humanities and weather, mapping out the various lifestyles of Chongqing people, such as enjoying flowers in spring, cool in summer, fruit picking in autumn and snow in winter.

The first exhibition of "This is Chongqing" - Chongqing Geography and Culture Theme Exhibition was held from December 11th to 19th at Tongyuanmen City Wall Site Park in Yuzhong District. After the first exhibition, it will be carried out in Chongqing Map Culture Museum and some districts and counties in the form of "exhibition board drift." This is Chongqing: A Weekly Map Atlas will also be sold offline at the bookstore and online on Tmall, Youzan, and other online platforms.
