2022 marks the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's handover and the 10th anniversary of the HKSAR's Liaison Office in Chongqing. According to Wang's interview, she indicated "The government of HKSAR has always emphasized the Chongqing-Hong Kong cooperation, which is why we set up the Liaison Office of the HKSAR government in Chongqing 10 years ago", said Wang.

In order to celebrate the anniversary, HKSAR's Liaison Office in Chongqing will host a series of events, including a national exhibition that reviews Hong Kong's development over the past 25 years and looks forwards to future cooperation with Mainland China. "We hope that the pandemic will end soon so that we can invite Hong Kong artists to perform in Chongqing as an exchange in culture," she said.

As Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of HKSAR, came to Chongqing last September, she was deeply impressed by the city and had an in-depth conversation with Chen Min'er, the Communist Party Secretary of Chongqing. Therefore, Wang told us that their office is now planning a high-level Chongqing-Hong Kong cooperation agreement, which she hopes will be implemented as the 25th-anniversary approaches.

Besides, cultural exchange will be enhanced, according to Ms. Wang. "The Hong Kong SAR government has always supported students to come to Mainland China for exchanges, whether they are here for studying or internship. Dazu Rock Carvings are famous worldwide. We hope that from the internship, Hong Kong students can learn about the culture and enrich their experience in Chongqing", she introduced.
