One of the trains was jointly organized by the New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd and Xi'an International Land Port Multi-modal Transport Co., Ltd.

Both corporations organized the cargo from Shaanxi Province. After this batch of goods was assembled from Xi'an Land Port to Chongqing Tuanjiecun Railway Station, it went south to Vientiane, Laos. The cargo was mainly monosodium glutamate, with a total of 42 tons and a value of 60,000 U.S. dollars.

The other train was worked together by the New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd and Yunnan Intercontinental Express Logistics Co., Ltd, to organize the source of goods from Laos.

This shipment departed from Vientiane South Railway Station in Laos, passed through Yunnan to Chongqing, and the destination is Chengdu. The cargo was 960 tons of tapioca starch, with a total value of 2.5 million RMB (about 393,000 U.S. dollars).

In addition, data released by China Railway Kunming Bureau Group Co., Ltd. shows that since the China-Laos railway opened on December 3, 2021, it has sent a total of 1 million passengers and 500,000 tons of cargo as of January 30, 2022. Among them, cross-border international cargo weighed 100,000 tons.

Experts said that the China-Laos Railway had provided strong support for accelerating the construction of the China-Laos Economic Corridor and building a China-Laos community with a shared future.

"This cross-regional linkage is the manifestation of greater synergy," said the relevant person in charge of the New Land-Sea Corridor Operation Co., Ltd. This is another multi-provincial and municipal linkage realized by the ILSTC around the China-Laos Railway.

In the future, the ILSTC will play a positive role in Chongqing as the logistics and operation organization center of the new western corridor to promote cooperation with the provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities along the route. Bring together the strengths of all parties to jointly shape the international connectivity channel.
