COVID Test In the Workplace | Alex in the City

Chongqing- In Episode 5 of "Alex in the City," "COVID Test in the Workplace," I share my experience doing the nucleic acid test outside of my office, just dozens of meters away.

Until 8 pm on March 15 Beijing time, there are 31 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and seven asymptomatic cases. Most of the confirmed cases were students from Chongqing City Management College. The university town is quite far from the Yubei District where I live and work, but for everyone's safety, many districts and communities, even companies, have carried out the nucleic acid test.

In Chongqing Daily Group, where our office is located, the test starts at 9:00 and finishes in 3 hours, covering about 3,000 staff, and the result will come out in 8 hours. The medical staff is coming just for this company. Basically, they can do any tailored service, flexible and efficient.

I am also impressed by the government's efficiency in the epidemiological investigation. It is reported that before the onset of the disease, one infected person has visited Jilin Province, where several cases were recently reported. It is believed that this case imported the virus to Chongqing. The trace tracking is considered an invasion of privacy abroad, but my Chinese friends take this as their responsibility and for the good of all. That's why our office can continue functioning safely and not get closed down like many countries abroad.
