Chongqing- The State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company issued a series of initiatives to provide stable power supplies for Chongqing's high-quality development on April 19.
The construction of the Sichuan-Chongqing ultra-high voltage alternating current project and grid user's power outages of the "zero perception" area in Jiefangbei-Jiangbeicheng-Changjiahui are some measures proposed by the company.
Guarantee power supply to help low-carbon transition
This year, Chongqing will speed up the construction of charging piles, striving to achieve an annual charging capacity of 100 million kilowatt-hours.
The application of the new energy vehicle power exchange mode has also been accelerated.

Now Chongqing has access to 53,000 charging piles in total, achieving full coverage in all districts and counties.
Meanwhile, the State Grid has invested in 138 charging stations in the highway service areas with a coverage rate of over 90%, building an advanced highway charging network in western China.
This year, Chongqing Electric Power Company will organize resources to attract battery-swap car companies to move in and upgrade the charging stations in the highway service areas to charging-swap ones.
New power system construction
To target the carbon-neutral commitment, Chongqing takes steps to build eight key demonstration projects of clean energy in Fengdu County, aiming to provide experience for the city's low-carbon energy transformation.
New energy entities are allowed brought into the market, such as wind power and photovoltaics, which can facilitate the clean and low-carbon energy transformation and industrial upgrading in the city.
In addition, Chongqing Electric Power Company will introduce new technologies to eliminate the impact of power equipment failures on users.
It plans to use 5G and quantum communication, robot non-stop operation, drone inspection, and other technologies to build a grid user's power outages of "zero perception" area in Jiefangbei-Jiangbeicheng-Changjiahui.

Integrated development of the Sichuan-Chongqing power grid
The State Grid Chongqing Electronic Power Company has made efforts to construct intelligent shared energy internet. By actively consuming new energy sources, it adds green momentum to support the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and international metropolis development.
According to the strategy of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, the company will promote the integration of Sichuan power into Chongqing while building 53 berth shore power of 1,000 tons and above, which refers to ships berthing at ports, using the clean energy provided by the port side instead of their auxiliary generators.
For another, Chongqing and Sichuan will jointly build the rural power supply service demonstration area in Gaozhu New Area, the only cross-provincial new area put into operation in China.
Three rural revitalization demonstration sites, ten electricity charity supermarkets, and 500 safe electricity demonstration towns or streets to boost rural revitalization, are on the company's plan too.
