Chongqing Science and Technology Museum Held Activities to Kindle Scientific Dreams

Chongqing- On May 28, Chongqing Science and Technology Museum organized a variety of sub-activities, allowing the public to experience a different aspect of science and technology.

As night fell, the event, Kindle Science Dreams · Chongqing Science and Technology Museum at Night, kicked off with the cool dance of the robots' matrix.

During the event of Science and Technology Week, Chongqing Science and Technology Museum, Sichuan Science and Technology Museum, as well as popular science venues and resources in Chongqing, jointly launched a series of sub-activities for the event of Kindle Science Dreams. The event was divided into four sections – Explosion of Science, Exploration of Science, New Momentum of Science, and Metaverse of Science. Based on the history of science and technology development, the event provided the public with an immersive experience through the combination of science, art, and humanities. In this way, the public, especially young people, could obtain more interest in exploring the world, innovating new things, and promoting solidarity by participating in different sub-activities. Additionally, the public could have an opportunity to experience different nighttime.

The part, Explosion of Science, was a cosmopolitan magnet for science concerts, Space Party Show, and the game Crazy Bubbles. Among them, the Space Party Show was performed by little astronauts who danced in fluorescent suits to present the spirit of spaceflight. It focused on the story of Ne Zha, the protagonist of the show, to interpret the scientific spirit of seeking the truth and following pragmatic principles. Through the vivid integration of science and art, audiences could intuitively feel the enthusiasm and charm of science.

The section, Exploration of Science, assembled nine scientific experiment challenges, such as colorful cocktails, passing the electricity pipe, and so on. The colorful cocktail was a challenge that let visitors make rainbow cocktails with layers of at least three colors so that visitors could understand the density of objects more directly. Meanwhile, passing the electricity pipe was a small experiment game that required visitors to hold a handle of the current bar to pass the electricity pipe from the beginning to the designated end within the specified time. Those attractive experiments allowed visitors to learn scientific thinking and scientific methods in the process of continuous experimentation.

The New Momentum of Science part consisted of five Chinese and foreign scientists played by science and technology counselors. They displayed the process of scientists' work through magic, experiment revealment, challenge tasks, and so on.

The Metaverse of Science section brought fresh audio-visual experience to audiences through the hologram and VR interactive participation. At the same time, teenagers from more than ten schools in Chongqing also brought their innovative inventions to the scene of the event, presenting the creative vitality of a new generation.

The event provided visitors and audiences with a different experience through immersive interaction. By participating in different sub-activities, they hope the public, especially the children, would fall in love with science and technology with fascinating knowledge.
