Rent an Apartment in Chongqing | Alex in the City

Chongqing– China's house rental market can be complicated if you're a foreigner moving to China. The good news is if you're looking for short-term or medium to long-term rentals, the age of quick renting is upon us.

According to an official report, the rental market in China will exceed more than 330 million people; that is to say, 1 in 5 people in China live in a rental apartment. China's property market plays an outsized role in the global economy, and it is intricately linked to core industries' performance of local governments, besides investors and homeowners. The good news is renting has now moved online.

Alex from iChongqing meets with a local rental agency (Longfor Group) in this episode. Longfor is a Chinese top real estate group, established in Chongqing in 1993, and Goyoo is its sub-brand that originated in 2016, mainly focusing on the rental service and rental market. Alex was amazed by the rental APP Goyoo provided for the customers, like always, everything can be finished online, which facilitates the whole procedure of renting.

We are told that Goyoo's layout has covered 30 cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Changsha, Kunming, Chengdu, and Chongqing. Goyoo's slogan is "To create warm and bright nodes for the urban youths," and the target clients are Generation Y (1980~1994) and Generation Z (1995~2009).
