Guest Country Mexico will Bring 24 Companies to the WCIFIT

Chongqing- The 4th Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT) will be held in Chongqing from July 21 to 24. Mexico was invited to be the honored guest country for this year's WCIFIT. It will host different activities, including business seminars, panel discussions, matchmaking, and corporate visits, according to Mr. Victor Cadena, Vice President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM).

The WCIFIT is important for promoting regional cooperation and China's foreign economic and trade exchanges. With the theme of "Joining Hands with the West for a Bright Future," WCIFIT will be composed of theme exhibitions, forums, economic and trade negotiations, and contract signing.

As the day approaches, iChongqing has conducted an exclusive interview with three representatives from  MEXCHAM and its Chongqing chapter.

"Mexico will bring 24 companies and more than 40 business delegates to the Fair," reported Mr. Victor Cadena.

Established in 2007, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China focuses on promoting China-Mexico trade, cross-border transactions, foreign investment, and consulting services. In February 2022, the MEXCHAM opened a chapter in Chongqing to encourage cooperation between Chongqing and Mexico.

Mr. Julio Cruz is  President of the MEXCHAM Chongqing Chapter. He said, "we chose Chongqing because it is one of the most important cities in mainland China and the world for its location in the West of China and its fast development."

Mr. Jaziel Rodriguez, Vice President of MEXCHAM's Chongqing Chapter, said, "we want to focus mainly on the very advanced business of the motorcycle market and spare parts."

"We have some companies already from Mexico doing business with Chongqing, such as Italika, a motorcycle manufacturer in Mexico, and they have the most business and also use Nemak in their automotive components," added Mr. Jaziel Rodriguez.
