Oppo is Leading Efforts in Green Manufacturing | China’s Smart City

Chongqing- Oppo, one of the world's most important smartphone producers, has been promoting green manufacturing.

For those who don't know about this smartphone brand yet, Oppo is an international smartphone brand based in China. The company accounted for 9% of global smartphone shares in the second quarter of 2022, according to the data released by Omdia Global Smartphone, ranking fourth among all smartphone manufacturers worldwide. In 2021, it won the sales championship on the Chinese market.

Oppo delivers its smartphone products globally from two factories - one in Dongguan, Guangdong province, and another in Chongqing.

Oppo is a giant company in scale and profit and in exploring human futures. Oppo has pioneered the fields of intelligentization and carbon neutrality, combining the two for the common goal of green manufacturing.

Zhang Yi, Director of Smart Manufacturing of Oppo, told to iChongqing that Oppo (Chongqing) Intelligent Ecological Science and Technological Park is integrating sectors in smart manufacturing like automatic storage, automatic production, and hardware R&D. All those efforts will improve production efficiency, green the manufacturing process, leading to a sustainable manufacturing model, which will benefit the future lives of humans.
